Who we are
About the CMI
The Centre for Microscopy and Imaging is an NUIG core facility specialising in advanced microscopy techniques. This centre is available for students, researchers, academic and technical staff. Our highly experienced, specialist staff are committed to providing a supportive and resourceful working environment where researchers can expect expert advice and comprehensive training that equips them to achieve their goals. Our challenge is to meet present needs of researchers for microstructural characterisation and to equip NUIG to meet new horizons by enabling cutting edge microscopy techniques. The CMI works with research teams from all disciplines and departments in NUIG including href="http://www.nuigalway.ie/anatomy/index.html">Anatomy, Chemistry,Biochemistry, Engineering, CURAM , and REMEDI . We also welcome collaboration and partnership with industry. The CMI have been a core member of National Biophotonics Imaging Platform, and currently directly involved with Core Technologies for Life sciences (CTLS) and have close ties to core facilities across the country.
